The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render solutions on the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering solutions including new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it's alarmed about the higher quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim from the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to some higher number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This really is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The provider level developed for intervention experiences a high inflow of prospective beneficiaries, that makes it tough with the office to attend sassa status to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more resources to permit the servicing of all customers and raise access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
